Doug Dillow is a results-oriented, leader with success managing and growing outdoor recreation and conservation non-profits. His 27 year career with the Boy Scouts of America, included numerous roles in Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington State and New Jersey. He lead a private wildlife park in central Illinois facilitating its return to a Not for Profit from state ownership. Prior to joining GBRT, he was the Executive Director of Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas in San Antonio.
Over his 40 year care in the non-profit sector, he has overseen multi-million dollar capital campaigns, created transformational change that lead to long term sustainability, generated revenue-producing programs that significantly enhance the organization and positively impact the bottom-line. Community relationships are the key to success for any non-profit and I enjoy building those relationships with community leaders, corporate executives, citizens and volunteers to facilitate fundraising, recruitment, and public relations and programming.
Doug and his wife Tammie live in New Braunfels. They have two sons and four grandchildren. Doug enjoys maintaining his homes landscape with native plants and creating the best possible micro ecosystem in his suburban neighborhood. He is also active in competing and training his Golden Retrievers in various sports.
“My career and life focus has always been in community service and it is important to me to make a positive difference in people’s lives. I believe the world and the people in it to be good and any challenge can be addressed when people work together toward the shared goal.” He is committed to the preservation and restoration of our beautiful landscapes, working lands, and unique habitats up and down the Guadalupe Watershed.
